Enjoying a Quick Trip to Chicago

It was great to see a bunch of friends while we were in Chicago for a few days. One night we were lucky enough to be invited to Mark and Gina Doleski's for dinner. Evan enjoyed both the booze and the cupcakes! Thank you Sensational Bites for never letting me down! (There was no alcohol left if the bottle)

The sky was opening up just as we approached Bancroft. Lindsey did a great job of hanging out the window of the moving car to snap this shot.


Great pictures from the backyard of the Ammermans. You could just feel spring wanting to break through and the daffodils were hitting their full potential.

Heading Back to the Bend

Lindsey and I went back to the South Bend/Mishawaka area the week before Easter. We had a great time with friends and family along with the great celebration hosted by Chuck and Patti to help us celebrate our 1st year of marriage. Thanks to everyone for your love and support. Chuck was even able to put on smile on his face while setting the tables with chocolates. I think he was looking forward to having a drink afterward.

Mike Goodspeed's Brithday Dinner

The whole gang was out for Mike's birthday on Wednesday. A fun time was had by all and if the smile on Mike's face meant anything he looked like he was having a great time too!

Trip to Madrid - 1st Anniversary

Lindsey and I decided to explore Madrid for our one year anniversary. We had beautiful spring weather and really did enjoy walking around just taking in Madrid on our first ever trip to Spain. Ever since experiencing a Big Mac in Singapore I have kept up with trying to have a Big Mac in every country I visit. We did get a chance to eat at one of the best restaurants in Madrid Santceloni on April 2. We both pushed our selves as far as what we are comfortable putting in our mouths and really did enjoy the first class service. Next time back we will have to try a few of the more than 60 cheeses that they have to enjoy.

Another House Update

This picture shows the waterproofing on the new foundation almost complete. At this point the project will take a little breather for pricing to come in on the rest of the project.
