Over June 11th and 12th, Lindsey and I headed to Bruges to meet up with Patrick Murphy. We had a great time and incredible luck with the timing of the rain storms. We all enjoyed the Belgium beers and the local fries. I can't even count how many times we ordered fries just to make sure they passes inspection. I do have to say that the best I found was the right stand as you face the Belfry Tower. The first place we stopped off to find a local brew was a hidden gem called De Garre. I realized after listening to Murph and Lindsey talking about all the beers they want to try that the only way I was going to get to see the city was by turning Saturday into a pub crawl. It worked out beautifully.
Overall, I think we were all really impressed with what Bruges had to offer and we highly recommend it as a 1 or 2 day stop if you have the chance. The best chocolate shop in my opinion was Pralinette. I would recommend trying every truffle combination possible. I never did find a bad one out the ones I tried.
Enjoy the pictures.....

Day trip to Cambridge
I finally joined Zipcar and now have access to wheels in the UK. It's a weird thing. In the UK they accept your US drovers license for 12 months but Zipcar UK will accept your US license if you have lived in the UK for more than a year. Riddle me that!
Here are some pictures from our wonderful day spent in Cambridge with Kati Boler and Mike Goodspeed. Cheers!

Our Visit to Portugal was Amazing!
First time to Portugal and we were lucky enough that Mike Goodspeed and Kati Boler were great traveling partners and were patient enough to deal with us for a long weekend. Thanks for the memories!
This picture is the SW point of Portugal/Mainland Europe. Beautiful spot for a sunset.

Family Treasure Hunt
The Kennedys and the Gutzmans got together to help us celebrate one year of marriage. On Saturday morning we split up into teams and had a race to accomplish things such as putting (no cheating at all took place!), drawing, counting, and other teamwork activities. Even with the bitterly cold spring weather fun was had by all. Thanks to everyone who could make it!
